The Sunshine Coast is home to a wide variety of Farmers’ Markets. Throughout the year, you’ll find an abundance of markets selling farm fresh produce, locally-raised meats, tasty treats, and artisan crafts from the farmers, growers, bakers, and makers who call the coast home.

Roberts Creek Community Farm Market

The Roberts Creek Community Farm Market operates year-round on Wednesday afternoons. Located next to the historic Robert’s Creek Community Hall, this market features items like fresh produce, jams, jellies, honey, hot sauces, baked goods, handmade soaps, and more. Stock up on goodies, then wander down the road to the Roberts Creek mandala to enjoy a seaside stroll.

Powell River Farmers' Market

Tucked away in a picturesque park (in the aptly named Paradise Valley), the Powell River Farmers' Market is where vendors, community members, and visitors come together to enjoy the community's deep agricultural traditions. You'll often find live music, and of course, plenty of diverse vendors selling all kinds of tasty homemade treats, crafts, goods, and wares. Most people linger long after the market closes, so make sure to carve out enough time to enjoy this lively community event.

Location: Exhibition grounds in Paradise Valley, 4365 McLeod Rd, Powell River
Hours: Sundays from 12:30pm - 2:30pm, year-round; and from May - September the market runs two days per week: Saturdays from 10:30am - 12:30pm and Sundays 12:30pm - 2:30pm.

Davis Bay Farmers' Market

Focused mostly on fresh local food, the Davis Bay Farmers' Market aims to be eco-friendly and encourage biodiversity. In addition to fresh produce, you can also find locally made artisanal products and crafts. Join them on Saturday afternoons outside the Davis Bay Community Hall, just a short walk from Davis Bay beach in Sechelt.

Hours: Saturdays from 12pm (noon) - 4pm, April 25 to October, 2026

Sechelt Farmers' and Artisans' Market

This is the largest outdoor market on the Sunshine Coast. For over 25 years, the Sechelt Farmers' and Artisans' Market has been a mainstay of the community, home to more than 60 vendors who set up shop along Cowrie Street each week, selling hyper-local goods, preserves, crafts, flowers, meat, seafood, beer and spirits, and of course farm-direct and garden-fresh produce. This market is also where you'll find ready-to-eat meals by talented cooks on the coast.

Lower G Market

This year the Gibsons Public Market is expanding their Lower G Market one day to two days per week. Each market day features over a dozen local vendors showcasing a curated selection of art, handmade crafts, jewelry, pottery, and more.

Location: 473 Gower Point Rd, Gibsons
Hours: Saturdays and Sundays from 11am - 3pm, from May 16, 2026 to September 6, 2026.

Central Farmers' Market

The Central Farmers' Market sees a variety of vendors selling fresh produce, arts & crafts, and ready-to-eat items at Willingdon Beach in Powell River. Consider picking up groceries and then taking in the oceanside ambience while you picnic with family and friends.

Location: Willingdon Beach, 4845 Marine Ave, Powell River (the old arena site)
Hours: Saturdays from 10am - 1pm, June 6 - October 10, 2026

Texada Island Farmers' Market 

Take a short car ferry from Powell River to Texada Island to check out the Texada Island Farmers' Market. Look for fresh produce, baked goods, and arts and crafts made by local residents.

Gambier Island Farmers' Market

The Gambier Island Farmers' Market takes shape as a market crawl, as vendors set up at the end of their driveways along Vanguard Avenue, Gambier Road, Dulcie Road, and Shawanabe Road. Pick up island-grown and -made products such as freshly picked flowers, eggs, local produce, pastries, and more. This is a true community event where you'll get the chance to meet the people who call this island home. Keep in mind Gambier Island is only accessible by private boat or by BC Ferries passenger ferry and has limited amenities, so if you do plan to visit make sure you bring enough cash (and the gear you need for the day) with you before you depart.

Hours: To be confirmed; typically Saturdays from 10am - 1pm, May Long Weekend to Labour Day Long Weekend

Uptown Winter Market

The Uptown Winter Market is a year-round farmers' market held outside the Powell River Community Resource Centre (next to the qathet Visitor Centre). You’ll often find fresh produce, delicious baked goods, flowers, and an assortment of unique, locally made goods. Rain or shine, this market is always a lot of fun and makes a great addition to your plans.

Hours: Saturdays from 10am to noon, now to April 25, 2026

Texada Island Winter Farmers' Market 

The Texada Island Winter Farmers' Market runs on every possible Sunday; you'll want to double check that it's running before you make plans. An extension of the Summer Farmers' Market, the Winter Market features baked goods, late harvest produce, crafts, jewelry vendors, and more. The Texada Chuckwagon also has soup and sandwiches on offer

Bonus: Public Markets

Gibsons Public Market

The Gibsons Public Market is a year-round mainstay of the community, home to vendors selling fish, groceries, cheese, donuts, and more. On the market's upper floor, you'll also find the Tidepools Aquarium (great for families), and Emelle's Bistro, where you can grab a bite to eat in the sunny atrium. Along with hosting the Lower G Market, the Gibsons Public Market will also be hosting Summer Night Markets (June 26, July 31, and September 4, 2026) that you won't want to miss.

Hours: Gibsons Public Market hours are Tuesday - Sunday from 10am - 5pm, closed Mondays. Summer Night Markets run from 4:00pm to 10:00pm.

Townsite Public Market

Located in Powell River, the Townsite Public Market is a year-round indoor market that spans two floors. You'll find a mix of shops, including Hearth & Grain Bakery, a grocery store, and shops selling gift items, consignment sports gear, knitting supplies, and more. Keep an eye out for pop-up vendors selling artisan wares.
