Inland Lake Provincial Park is located 12 km north of Powell River and is an ideal place for hiking, camping (drive-in and walk-in sites available), as well as swimming, cycling, fishing, canoeing, and boating. What makes Inland Lake unique is the 13 km, fully accessible trail that loops around the entire lake. The circuit includes boardwalks, bridges, and a crushed limestone path.
Allow about 2 hours walking to make the full loop. This loop makes for excellent trail running as well, as its very wide and relatively flat. Make sure to rest at the hand crafted park benches and picnic tables to capture the view and have a bite to eat. Over the course of the trail spot local First Nations art and totem poles representing our proud Sliammon community. Follow the crushed limestone covered pathway along the waters edge and check out the surrounding wild life such as birds, squirrels and many frogs will greet you repeatedly throughout the journey. Cool off with a swim in the welcoming water of the lake.
Directions to Trailhead
From the Visitors Centre, take a right onto Joyce Avenue and follow Joyce until you take a left onto Manson. Then take a right on Cassiar Street and left again on Yukon Avenue. Turn right on the Haywire Bay/Inland Lake intersection another 2 km and then turn left into the park.
