Cultural Treats
Talented people are drawn to the natural beauty and easy-going atmosphere of the Sunshine Coast, and its growing reputation as an arts and culture centre is much deserved. Artisans, writers, craftspeople, musicians, filmmakers...the list continues to grow and we are blessed to have such talented and fascinating people in our midst.
Purple Banner self-guided tours-including stops on Gambier and Savary Islands invite you to drop in on working artists. Pick up the Purple Banner Guide on BC Ferries and in public places, and watch for the banners on display at home studios, galleries and other art resources.
Blue Artisan signs along the highway and main roads point the way to artists' working studios, whether centrally located or tucked away.
