The SC Arts Council owns and operates the Sunshine Coast Arts Centre located at Trail & Medusa in Sechelt, British Columbia. Over the years the Sunshine Coast Arts Centre has been a vital resource for the artistic and cultural life of the Coast community. It incorporates the ´Doris Crowston´ public gallery showcasing the work of Coast artists and guest artists from off coast, a music studio housing a community piano and a public art studio.

The Townsite Heritage Society of Powell River offers guided tours on the history and architecture of our Nationally designated Historic District. Tours take just over an hour with some hills. July and August drop-in tours are available Saturday at 10:00am and Wednesday at 7:00pm or by appointment.

The theatre is currently being restored and refurbished while continuing to offer first run and independent films as well as a venue for concerts, live theatre, speaking engagements, and weddings. The Sunshine Coast Museum and Archives presents the history of the Sunshine Coast and its inhabitants. We have two floors of exhibits to explore as well as a resource room, reference library, and extensive archives with over 9,000 photographs & documents.
