Texada Island Heritage Society The Texada Island Museums have been established to store, preserve and display artifacts that illustrate and document the history of Texada Island and its' people. We currently operate two Museums, the first is located in Blubber Bay's Thacker house, a heritage home sponsored by Blubber Bay Quarry. The Van Anda Museum/Archives is located in the former Van Anda Elem. School and is open Wednesdays 10 am to 12. Both Museums open July 1 to Labour Day, Thursday to Sunday 11 am - 3 pm or by special request.
